Hals' power to Heal & Relieve Pain is a Gift from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hal administers the gift of healing by placing his right hand on the most painful or afflicted area of his patient's body whilst praying that he may accept their pain. He can judge the likelihood and degree of success by the intensity of pain he accepts from the person he's treating. After a day of healing, Hal is left in extreme pain which is only relieved by Our Lord during sleep.

Hal was born in Co. Derry and performed his first healing at the age of fourteen. His mother had suffered for many years the agonizing pain of duodenal ulcers. One day, while sitting by his mother (who was seated and rocking to and fro in a chair with pain), he was instructed to place his right hand on his mothers' tummy and ask God to accept the pain. When he complied with this instruction, his mothers' pain disappeared immediately. From then on she enjoyed a healthy appetite and digestion and the ulcers never reappeared.
Vividly recollecting the experience, Fr Hal said that the room seemed to fill with a bright light and he felt great comfort and warmth. A voice, which he believes was Our Lord, spoke calmly and authoritively, saying "Go to your mother and place your right hand on her tummy and offer her pain up to God!" Fr Hal doesn't believe his mother heard the voice as she was somewhat shocked and surprised with her son behaviour and, even more so, at the relief from her pain. From that day onwards, there always existed a special bond between mother and son.
For many years Hal neglected his gift of healing. Following the death of his two younger brothers he felt himself distanced from his Christian faith, blaming God for their deaths. Sometime after that tragedy he was admitted to hosptial where he spent a fortnight in intensive care and a further six months undergoing operative procedures. It was during this time that his faith in God was restored and he found himself remembering his mothers' words: "God will put you on your back so that you can look up to Him". With his Christian beliefs and his love of Our Lord totally restored he set about changing his life completely, as he had been directed and he accepted wholly the instructions given him by Jesus Christ to devote his life to healing in His name by accepting the pain and suffering of others.
Hal lost 8 stone in weight during his period of ill health and he experienced the out of body experience associated with death. He vividly recalls the very bright light and the absolute peace and joy. He believes that Our Lord spoke to him and told him that it wasn't his time to die and that he had much to do in His name. Hal was instructed, by many visions during his long period of recovery, on how to heal and the prayers he was to say during the treatment. Hal accepts the miraculous benefits to his patients and attributes all successes to Our Lord's intervention. "Our Lord told me that He would always be with me and that I was to rely on him for the strength to carry out His bidding. He also forewarned me that my life wouldn't be easy and that there would be many personal trials ahead. As expected He was totally correct and there are many, many times when I don't want to go on, but then it is His will and He gives me that little push to carry on.
Hal held his first healing clinic in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, many years ago, and has held many clinics since throughout Ireland, the U.K. and America, as well as treating many from his home in Sligo. Sufferers have visited him from as far afield as Hong Kong and his success is recognized far and wide, not only by those he treats but by their families and friends.
A set minimum treatment fee is applied, to cover the many costs of operating this Ministry but it is run on a non profit making basis.
